Conference is awesome!

As many of you know, this past weekend was General Conference, where our Prophet and his apostles and the other church leaders get to talk to the whole LDS population at the same time. I love this weekend. First off, it is a great chance to sit back and relax a bit and regain your composure after a ton of hard homework that your professors have all decided to throw at you at the same time (not that this happened to me...). It is also a really terrific weekend because I learn what I need to work on in my life and i discover new ways that I can improve myself.
My favorite talk this year was given by Holland, when he talked about how you don't have to know. All you need to do is believe. belief is so much more important in this life than knowing, because honestly, not a whole lot of us get to KNOW that the church is true. We all just have to BELIEVE it is.
Between conference sessions, my sister and I decided to do some service and weed my grandparents flower beds. This took a whole lot longer than we expected, and there were sooo many more 'visitors' in the ground than we thought there would be.
And this was only a few of them!! It was absolutely nutso! And GUESS WHAT! I actually held one! That's right :) I braved up and faced my intense fear of bugs and held a worm! I am proud of myself and my courage. It's all from conference, guys.
On Sunday, I got to watch conference with three of my favorite people ever! My sisters Mallory, Makayla, and my brother-in-law Jordan. They are all awesome and it was so fun to get together and hang out!I love them to pieces! Unfortunately, I did not get to see my best friend ever this weekend when she came down to Salt Lake for conference. I couldn't get a ride there, and I am sad because of it. :( Hopefully we will have another chance to get together soon!

Gah! I cannot believe that there are only 2 weeks left of school!! This year has gone by soo fast! It feels like it just started, and yet it's drawing to a close. I have met so many amazing people, and I am going to miss my roommates sooo much! Most of them will be going on missions in the next year, and I wish them well and know they will be terrific!
BTWs, I am staying for Spring/Summer, so if anyone wants to hang out, let me know! I will be more than available!

Easter!

Easter was a blast this year! I was worried about it because it was my first year away from home while celebrating a major holiday, but I am really lucky that my sister is around! She took good care of me!
But seriously now..... We had a blast together!! I love her to pieces and am so grateful that she is a part of my life! To start off the weekend, we rounded up some eggs, because what is Easter without boiled eggs?? We got the coolest dye this year!!! It made the eggs all pretty and blotchy!
The eggs are pretty tight and awesome. We had a really fun time painting them. Makayla and I also made baskets for each other! They were pretty sweet and filled with deliciousness. We also made one for Jordan, because we love him too and didn't want him to feel left out at all ;).

Mine is the delicious-looking milk chocolate one. Yum! This candy is still going to last me for a while... like at least another week! :P We even hid each other's baskets around the house like the Easter bunny used to do for us when we lived back home. Easter has always been a really special holiday to me. We have always celebrated the candy part of Easter separate from the true purpose of Easter; the Savior. We celebrate Bunny Day on Saturday, and that is when we do egg hunts and candy and all that jazz, and the sabbath is reserved for the Lord. It really helps me focus on Christ and all that He has been willing to give and sacrifice for me. I love him and all he does for me!
All in all, Easter was really fun and I loved it! I am grateful for the proximity of my sister to me!
